Construction on the new library building has begun! Funding for the project is from private foundations and individuals along with an $840,000 grant from Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) EIAF oil and gas impact fees. We are also applying for federal and state funding for specific components of the new building and anticipate that those funds may arrive before year's end. 

The 2025 Library Budget filed with DOLA at the end of last year did not anticipate this funding. Therefore, we are filing a supplemental Budget Amendment to allow us to spend revenue associated with the building project through our Capital Improvement Fund.

The 2025 Operating Budget has not changed. No new taxes will be levied for this project.

The piublic is invited to comment on this budget and attend a public hearing on September 5, 2025 at 10AM via zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83398449146 before any final Library Board decision is made. Comments may be sent to director@pagosalibrary.org in advance of the September 5th meeting.
