VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Volunteers are extremely important to the quality of our customer service. Maintaining the collection is paramount. This work is never ending, and we rely on committed volunteers to help us keep up with this task. We invite you to join our team.
Shelving and making sure all the books and materials are in their proper place is key to the day-to-day operation of the library, so this is another job we value in our volunteers.
In addition, we encourage volunteers to participate in special events and programs. Some suggested programs needing volunteer involvement are:
1. Story-telling to preschoolers
2. Summer reading program
3. Fundraising
4. Planning and design of programs
5. Giving lectures or identifiying other people to give lectures
6. Teaching specific subjects and/or literacy classes
7. Children’s programs
8. Pre-teen programs
9. Computer classes
Do you have a special interest or skill that could benefit the library?
If you would like to help make the Ruby Sisson Library an active and vital part of the community, please stop by the Library and pickup a volunteer application or call the director, Jackie Welch, at 264-2209.
We hope to hear from you!
